The Free2B Monthly Radio Program

Free2B is a proud part of Kaua`i community radio. In fact, without KKCR, Free2B would probably not be heard. Free2B is an example of the KKCR mission:

"KKCR is Kauai’s independent, non-commercial, listener-supported community radio station.

We seek to stimulate, educate and entertain our audience, to preserve, perpetuate and celebrate Hawaiian
culture, and to reflect the diversity of the local and world community.

We provide a forum for overlooked, suppressed, or under-represented voices and music."

Free2B provides opportunity for LGBTQI to have a vocal presence in the community. The LGBTQI community is as diverse as our many letters represent and we'll celebrate our diversity with a discussion of topics, interviews, music and talking story with our callers. We'll strive to further equality, respect and understanding of all people and their relationships with each other. Tune in and feel free to be yourself!

So what is this Free2B.org web site about anyway?

After our first four monthly programs, Kevin Tweedy of ZoweeWeb.com ("websites and more") approached us with a plan for a web site to give the Free2B radio program an additional dimension that could also add many more layers of "community involvement" as well as community service. And best of all, Kevin is doing this completely "gratis"--the web site domain, the web site hosting and building the web presence that you can now see and explore. We call that "giving back" in a positive, worthwhile way for our community.

From the capricious and colorful rainbow Free2B logo to the web site content, we want the Free2B web site to be something that informs, delights and provides our visitors with what they need so that each of us can maximize our potential as well as participate in making our Kauai LGBTQILGMT community stronger.

We invite you to explore the Free2B.org web site, check out what is already here, make suggestions about additional material that you think our Community would find useful, sign up for our Email list and send your input via out "Contact Us" page. We think it's a good start for a valuable adjunct to our monthly radio program and we'd like to see both integrated into your "information infrastructure". Please explore!
